About
At Tasty Trademarks, we explore the nuances of food-related trademarks, share insights on registered trademarks, and consider newly filed trademark applications. Our aim is to foster creativity in how food brands protect their unique identities. In the competitive food and beverage industry, picking the right trademark is crucial for brand recognition and legal safety.
In the competitive landscape of the food industry, it’s not uncommon for newer brands to attempt to capitalize on the success of established names. This "piggybacking" often manifests in various ways, from similar branding and packaging to cleverly crafted marketing messages that evoke the essence of a well-known product.

About Me
Hi! I’m Keirsten, licensed attorney and Juris Doctor graduate of the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law with a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law. Prior to law school, I earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Cello Performance, a Master of Music degree in Cello Performance, and a Master of Library & Information Science degree. I’ve worked in academic library settings, as a professional cellist and cello teacher, and as a chef. Food has always fascinated me. When I entered law school, I fell in love with trademarks, the role they play in society, and how they are used as communication tools. Tasty Trademarks combines my excitement for food with my passion for trademark law.
